Descripción
The prestigious piano manufacturer Grotrian-Steinweg exists 180 years already, and is regarded, together with C. Bechstein, Ibach, Bösendorfer and Steinway as one of five best piano builders in the world. The brand was founded in 1835 in Braunschweig in (West) Germany by Friedrich Grotrian and Christian Friedrich Theodor Steinweg. The latter was the son of Heinrich Enghelhard Steinweg, who emigrated to New York with his other sons because of the financial crisis. Father Steinweg americanised his name to Henry E. Steinway and started his own business in 1853, named Steinway & Sons. In that same year, two other piano manufacturers were started up: Carl Bechstein in Berlin and Julius Blüthner in Leipzig. The illustrious piano builder invested an immense amount of energy in this Grotrian-Steinweg Cabinet. And that, you can hear. With a width of 192 cm, this instrument is ideal for playing chamber music. It handles the slightest nuances faultlessly and is in tune with the highest requirements. It is therefore the preferred choice for many conservatories.
