Description
Nearly new Shigeru Kawai SK-7, purchased new in 2024 and now offered for sale.
This instrument was selected after an extensive comparison across the U.S. and Europe — including models such as the Fazioli F228/F212, Steinway B, Bösendorfer 225/214VC, Mason & Hamlin BB, Yamaha S7X/CF6 and Schimmel K219 — because it delivered the most sumptuous, beautiful tone and an exceptionally even, buttery action.
The action uses carbon-fiber components, valued by technicians for their consistency and lower maintenance compared with traditional wooden actions.
Sonically the piano is remarkable: a powerful bass reminiscent of a full concert grand, a singing midrange and a clear, ringing treble. The sustain is notably long (examples available in the video).
In early 2026 the instrument received a full-day, bespoke servicing by Shigeru Kawai’s Master Piano Artisan, who traveled from Japan to make fine adjustments and perfect the setup.
The original 10-year manufacturer’s warranty is transferable to the new owner with more than seven years remaining.
Includes a professional Jansen artist duet bench finished to match the instrument, with Shigeru Kawai decals on the knobs.
Price is open to negotiation; please contact for details and viewing arrangements.
