At the end of September, Warsaw became the world\u2019s capital of the piano. From 25\u201328 September 2025<\/strong>, just before the 19th International Chopin Competition, the Piano Congress 2025<\/a><\/strong> took place. It was one of the most important industry events, bringing together pianists, piano tuners<\/a>, builders, and keyboard instrument enthusiasts from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the Piano<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The motto of this year\u2019s edition was \u201cDiscover the Piano\u201d<\/strong>. Participants could take a closer look at this extraordinary instrument \u2013 not only from the musical but also the technical side. As the organizers emphasized, the piano is the result of the joint work of the pianist, the tuner, and the sound engineer. The congress aimed to show<\/a> how different perspectives come together to create the final result \u2013 the sound we hear on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seminars, Workshops, and Exhibition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The program included seminars open to the general public as well as a professional section dedicated to technicians and piano restorers. The event featured numerous lectures, panel discussions, and workshops<\/strong>, covering topics from piano maintenance to the latest technologies \u2013 including self-playing systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A major highlight was the instrument exhibition<\/strong>, where leading brands were presented: Yamaha<\/a>, Steinway & Sons<\/a>, Kawai<\/a>, Bechstein<\/a>, Steingraeber<\/a>, and many other manufacturers. It was a unique opportunity to see and hear both the latest models and instruments with traditional, artisanal character in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
