Description
This is a special piano! Ready to enhance your home and bring delight for many years. A beautiful piece of furniture with beautifully carved legs. But take a listen and you will know it's not just a beautiful piece of furniture but also a vibrant musical instrument.
This gorgeous Fischer 5' grand piano with Ampico player will delight your ears and bring joy to your heart. Built in the 1926, it was fully reconditioned in 2004. Since then it has been played and enjoyed in our living room (not a garage or storage unit) and tuned regularly. The cabinet & instrument reconditioning (including new strings and pins, new damper felt and key bushings) was completed by Sam Lewis Piano (Whitehouse, TN). Brian Thornton of Short Mountain Music Works fully restored the Ampico player (including all new tubing) also in 2004.
A delight to play, there are no soundboard cracks. Hammers, dampers, and pedals are in excellent condition, as are the keys (aside from normal wear).
If you prefer to just listen, the Ampico player is the highest quality player of the time adding "color" player controls to standard self-playing feature. Comes with 18 rolls and Kleernote Vacuum Pump.
We'll be happy to arrange a Zoom showing / playing if you're considering bringing this lovely instrument into your home and can provide more pictures. Will also consider negotiation on delivery/freight charges.
