Description
Description
The Steingraeber & Sohne 130 T-PS Professional Upright Piano has been Steingraeber's most successful upright for ninety years. In music academies and universities alike it replaces the grand piano where a grand piano is too large, or the finest of quality upright pianos is preferred.

The Steingraeber & Sohne 130 T-PS Upright Piano is mechanically superior to mass-produced studio grand pianos, it has a markedly fuller sound, supreme tonal colours and qualities, and is a masterful piece of furniture. Fitted with a middle sostenuto pedal the piano is the perfect choice for a serious musician needing all grand piano features, but in an upright piano.

Please look at the pictures to behold the amazing cabinet with real rosewood inlay, to juxtapose the traditional high gloss black cabinet of this particular Steingraeber 130 T-PS model. This is a true statement piece that will be the counterpoint of any position it is placed and will give aesthetic and musical joy for generations.

All Steingraeber upright pianos can also be custom-ordered with chamber-music bass dampening, which allows for exceptionally precise ‘secco’ (dry) playing.

All Steingraeber & Sohne pianos are handcrafted in Bayreuth, Bavaria using the time-honoured tradition of piano building and are among the finest instruments produced by an elite group of manufacturers.

Steingraeber & Sohne adhere to piano making principles that see their pianos deliver the finest quality in sound touch and appearance. Acoustics, statics, cabinetry, and action mechanism - these are all components of Classic piano building that views ALL components as sound sources and, without exception, uses natural, resonating materials that require custom adjustment and precision work.

This is where the ability to tailor or modify the sound of a Steingraber comes from. This extends to the Steingraeber action mechanism and pedals, which are built with a view to perceptible resonating energy, like an extension of the human body.
