ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Graves Certified Used Pianos - Quality is #1

certified

Graves specializes in quality pre-owned spinets, consoles, baby grands, grands and concert grands giving you the best selection possible. Our large scale and constant trade-in business ensures you get a fantastic value. You will find all world-class brands, including Steinway & Sons, Baldwin, Yamaha, Kawai, Kimball, Story and Clark, Knabe and many others.

What "Certified" Means:

A piano is a complex piece of machinery with more moving parts than a car! No other instrument (or piece of furniture!) sustains 40,000 pounds of constant string tension for periods of over 100 years! Since a piano is comprised of thousands of parts there are many things that can go wrong if a piano has not been well maintained. Though you may feel that you trust an owner you meet off Craigslist or the friend who has an old piano, you will be taking a great gamble. Graves rejects AT LEAST two to three pianos a week due to the instrument failing to meet our quality standards. Since you will most likely only purchase one piano in your lifetime we feel that its our duty to make sure you buy the BEST QUALITY instrument possible - peace of mind is a must.

Therefore...

Every pre-owned piano Graves receives is thoroughly inspected, tested, and tuned to make sure it will perform flawlessly. It takes roughly 3-4 weeks for a piano to get tagged after it arrives at our warehouse, due to the lead time for inspection, tuning and case work. If the piano passes the inspection and meets our standards, then a full warranty is included along with the Graves Lifetime Full Trade-Up Program. And if a piano that is received fails to meet our quality standards it never gets sold. We will "junk" the instrument.
Graves guarantees inspection and full testing of your piano's ACTION, KEYS AND REGULATION, BELLY AND SUPPORT CONSTRUCTION, CASE AND EXTERIOR, STRINGS AND TONE, TUNING STABILITY, PIN BLOCK, BENCH STABILITY, SOUNDBOARD

Grand piano for sale - what do you need to pay attention...?

The casing of an instrument such as a piano is usually a large surface covered with high gloss polyester varnish, or a veneer imitating some kind of wood, e.g. walnut or mahogany, also covered with varnish, or a polished surface.
