Description

Just out of our restoration workshop, a STEINWAY & SONS ModèleO (1m80) made in Hamburg in 1901. We have totally replaced the mechanics (handles, heads and olives; as well as the trestles and of course the dampers) by a Renner designed and built to the model of the time. The keyboard, in beautiful ivory, has been bleached and polished, the mortises and bottom of the keyboard have been resealed. The windchest, the pegs and the steel and spun strings have also been replaced, the bridge soles have been redone in maple, the soundboard has been retightened and varnished. The frame has been gilded and the furniture relayed. The sound is homogeneous, colorful, limpid and airy, the bass is powerful and deep, the midrange is rich and defined, the treble has the typical pearl of the brand. The touch offers the precision, the regularity and the lightness of a new instrument. The ensemble proves to be a pure marvel of velocity and expressionism typical of the German manufacture of this period. The warranty is 10 years. EXCEPTIONAL

You want to buy a used piano?

When looking for a piano for sale, there are several aspects to consider before making a purchase. As with upright pianos, grand pianos on the market are available in a new or used condition. Grand piano for sale - what do you need to pay attention...?

The casing of an instrument such as a piano is usually a large surface covered with high gloss polyester varnish, or a veneer imitating some kind of wood, e.g. walnut or mahogany, also covered with varnish, or a polished surface. If you want to have a piano at home that looks impeccable visually, we recommend that you look at the state of the lids to see if their surface is not scratched or varnished, similarly to the piano legs...
