We have been in the piano business since 1953 when Ronald Ware the founder of our piano business completed his apprenticeship at Hickies & Hickies music shop Boscombe, Dorset where his master could also trace his learning lineage back to the 19th century. We have been expertly restoring, repairing and tuning pianos for Radio 4, music colleges, and were former County Council contract school piano tuners and repairers for Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex, Harrow and Bucks. Our experience and expertise is second to none. We sell only Pianos; your piano purchase is special to us and would love to continue the after care for years to come! Also, if you’re within 70 miles of Bournemouth we offer two free tunings!

This used Zimmermann baby grand has very little wear on the internal action parts as per photos on the gallery you can see that the felts and leathers have next to no wear on them. Great to be able to offer a piano from the 1980s with good as new balance rollers and check felt. We have only had to tune and regulate the repetition springs on this piano. It plays evenly and has a medium touch weight and a punchy tone in the treble and all round tone in middle and bass. The case is in high gloss mahogany polyester and has some minor light scratches on the top lid and music desk but nothing really detracts or is noticeable for the general appearance. Also, very minor fading on one leg at the treble end. Overall this piano is in excellent condition for the age and we recommend trying this piano by appointment at our Blandford Dorset showroom.

No quibble 14 day return policy or exchange, customer is responsible for return.

New instruments are most often covered with a few years' warranty, which confirms their impeccable technical condition. It happens that sellers also offer a guarantee for used instruments... If you want to have a piano at home that looks impeccable visually, we recommend that you look at the state of the lids to see if their surface is not scratched or varnished, similarly to the piano legs...
