This is the most recognizable Scandinavian company producing upright pianos. It was founded in 1926 in Sweden by a certain Emanuel Lager. In 1988, the Swedish piano manufacturer ceased operations, and the entire company was acquired by a Chinese corporation.

Since then, it has been operating as the Nordiska Piano Company, relocating its entire production and factory to China. This move allowed for the improvement and modernization of the production process, resulting in better sound quality in Nordiska upright pianos. The company has received numerous awards at international music fairs for its instruments, which have become synonymous with acoustic excellence. Nordiska continues to maintain high European quality while benefiting from lower production costs.
