Casa Musicale Ceccherini was founded in Florence in 1830.
Founded by the Ducci brothers as a publishing house, it later specialized in the construction of organs and pianos.
The success of these astute entrepreneurs was immediate, and they soon became famous and esteemed throughout Europe, receiving numerous awards and accolades, including from musicians such as Rossini, who expressed his admiration on several occasions.
In 1881, the Società Casa Musicale G. Ceccherini & C. was founded by Giorgio Ceccherini and Marchese Filippo Torrigiani.
The initial enthusiasm and acquired experience drove the business to grow, so much so that a new shop was later opened in Rome. All the greatest names in music of the time were on friendly terms with Ditta Ceccherini, from Mascagni to Puccini to Leoncavallo.
Over time, the Ducci Company became increasingly important and active, but Professor Carlo, busy with concerts and music courses abroad and managing the Gazzetta Musicale, which he founded and presided over, considered selling it. At this point, an old classmate of Ducci's, Giorgio Ceccherini, a musician, composer, and former regular at the Piazza Antinori shop, entered the scene. He and other partners took over the business.
The rest is history, and it would take too long to recount all the events and anecdotes to date. In 1993, the Ceccherini Company moved to its current location at Via de' Ginori 31r in Florence. From then on, a period of great change and modernization began. The premises are very beautiful and spacious, allowing for a vast display of pianos and all types of musical instruments, a new electronics department, and a well-stocked music publishing department.
Today, Ceccherini remains a point of reference for musicians and artists of various genres, and remains the "music salon" of Florence. In addition to selling all the best brands, it also rents pianos and various musical instruments. For several years, it has also had an online store, Ceccherinimusic.com, its own YouTube channel regularly featuring tutorial videos produced by Ceccherini Music House, and, of course, it is also active on all social media.
Since 1831, much has changed, but not the love of music that has always inspired and guided Ceccherini Music House toward the future.
