A rare opportunity to purchase this just 36 year old Bluthner baby grand piano. It’s in perfect condition both inside and out, with a wonderful Mahogany modern high gloss finish with no fading. It sounds just like a Bluthner should mellow and multi layered. The touch has a 54gms down weight and a 28gms up weight, extremely responsive with wonderful repetition. We have fitted new Bass strings made in Germany by Hellerbass who supply many piano manufacturers and premium piano manufacturer Grotrian Steinweg. The Bass is so rich and powerful for such a small baby grand, it is a must to arrange a viewing here at Dorset Pianos Ltd, it was well worth the new Bass strings. This piano easily competes with our new piano stock for longevity and surpasses with sound and professional touch.

This Bluthner is a fine example for the time during the mid 1980s, the quality of the key wood is perfect with no degeneration and other action aspects such as the Whippens have the Bechstein type design of double wing springs that can be easily regulated with a grub screw. All the centre pin bushings are also regular in motion and the action overall was easy to regulate unlike earlier Bluthner models from after the war up to around this time, this Bluthner represents a rare find.
