This concerns a beautiful Blüthner Model 4 Jubilee grand piano. This grand piano is equipped with the unique aliquot system. This is a fourth string that “floats” above the strings in the treble. This gives the characteristic, beautiful tone for which Blüthner is known.
This example was restored around the turn of the millennium; among other things the strings, dampers and tuning pins were renewed. The soundboard and bridge were also restored to an excellent standard. The restoration was carried out professionally.
The grand piano sounds nice and is playable. The action needs to be overhauled to bring out its full potential.
