The PH Glass Lid grand piano combines Vienna’s tonal tradition with a clear, Scandinavian-influenced design language.
At its core is a very well preserved grand piano from the 1930s with a full English action, which was redesigned as part of an upcycling project by ToneArt / PH Pianos.
The result is a one-off piece that unites the warm Viennese tonal character with the iconic design language of Poul Henningsen. Visually, the sculptural silhouette is marked by brushed solid brass legs; transparent windows in the lid allow glimpses into the instrument’s interior.
A rim of Italian braided leather provides artisanal accents and complements the design with fine details. The integrated PianoDisc self-playing system links traditional construction with modern technology and broadens the grand piano’s range of uses.
