CASE
The case has been finished in deep black using high-quality Italian polyester lacquer, achieving an even gloss and durable surface protection.
ACOUSTIC SECTION
A new STRUNZ soundboard has been installed and coated with high-grade Italian lacquer. The bass and treble bridges received new caps made from selected beech wood, worked in four stages of profiling. The bass and treble strings come from renowned manufacturers (bass: Heller, treble: Roslau) — individual scaling and production were applied to match the instrument’s measurements. A new five-layer pinblock made of hard maple with tight growth rings provides stable and precise tuning-pin anchoring. The cast-iron frame was restored and the surface coated with a specially selected, durable lacquer.
MECHANICAL SECTION
The instrument received an original, complete Steinway & Sons action, which significantly improved control and keyboard response speed. A full restoration of the keyboard was carried out using original Steinway components, and the white keytops were replaced with new ones made of Kluge Ivoplast. The action and keyboard were precisely regulated.
TUNING AND QUALITY CONTROL
The grand was tuned and voiced eight times during the renovation process; the work was performed by a certified technician. As a result, the instrument is ready for immediate use and presents stable tuning and a balanced tone.
