Brief description:
Steinway & Sons M-170, veneered in walnut burl with a high-gloss finish. Extensive general overhaul carried out in 2024 by specialists; the instrument has been restored to a high technical and visual standard.

Work carried out (2024):
- Completely new strings and tuning pins of top quality
- New hammer shanks and hammer heads
- Renewed rollers, action levers and other wear parts
- Parts used: Steinway original parts as well as components from Steinway suppliers
- Surface: walnut burl in high-gloss, visually almost like new
Playing and sound characteristics:
The instrument offers a very good touch and balanced sound characteristics. The intonation has been set to a medium tonal character ("medium"), making a wide repertoire — from Romantic literature to jazz — very playable. Due to its volume and responsiveness, the grand piano is suitable both for demanding hobby pianists and for use on smaller stages.
Condition and quality:
High-quality materials and workmanship were used for all repairs, preparing the instrument for the coming decades.

Payment and delivery:
Payment is made on handover to the shipping company or by advance bank transfer. The price includes delivery within Germany, including stairs (unless special difficulties such as a crane are required). A surcharge of EUR 150.00 is charged for Austria and the Benelux countries.
Tax:
VAT is included but not shown (margin scheme).
Warranty:
The purchase price includes a 5-year warranty (see warranty conditions). The warranty covers the instrument's functionality; damages caused by improper handling or inadequate maintenance are excluded. Costs for tunings and service interventions are not covered by the warranty. The warranty is valid for 5 years from handover and is geographically limited to Germany and the rest of continental Europe. Observance of usual conditions (e.g. stable room climate) is a prerequisite for warranty protection.
