The instrument was fully restored by Steinway technicians – with original Steinway parts, new action, strings, dampers and a modern, high-quality lacquer finish.
An independent appraisal certifies the “top class” condition and highlights that the 98-year-old instrument is, in substance, in excellent condition, has a typical, successful tonal character and is suitable even for the highest demands in concert use.
The grand displays the characteristic sound of 1920s Steinways – a singing, warm midrange, colorful overtones and a natural balance between clarity and depth.
