For sale: a rare collector’s item — a Yamaha G2 concert grand in original satin‑walnut finish.

This instrument clearly stands apart from the common high‑gloss black grands and combines timeless mid‑century design with sonic maturity. It is an original model from Nippon Gakki (Hamamatsu, Japan) from the important production period of the early Yamaha G‑series.

Special feature – historical transport history:
The grand was not shipped by sea as usual but was flown by air freight directly from Japan to Germany. This at‑the‑time elaborate mode of transport was very costly and was chosen only for selected premium instruments. As a result, the wood, in particular the soundboard, was spared long sea voyages with high humidity and is in an exceptionally good original condition.

- Finish: rare walnut veneer, satin lacquer
- Sound: warm, singing and balanced – typical of the early G models

The grand is located in Gundelfingen (near Freiburg im Breisgau). Viewings and test playing are possible by prior appointment.
