The Yamaha P121 SH2 Silver Edition is presented in high‑gloss black with subtle chrome accents and combines classic acoustic design with modern Silent technology.
The soundboard and ribs are made of European spruce, giving the instrument a balanced and expressive acoustic tone.
The integrated SILENT Piano™ SH2 system allows the acoustic sound generation to be completely muted: when the Silent function is activated, the hammers lose contact with the strings while sensors detect each key movement and transmit it to the digital sound processor.
Headphones are included; through them two precisely sampled concert grand piano sounds are available – Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial – each with individual samples for all 88 keys.
In addition, the P121 SH2 offers 20 different voices (including piano, organ, harpsichord, strings, choir) as well as recording functions, a metronome and Bluetooth connectivity. An overview of the connections and technical details can be found below.
