Yamaha’s SE series combines Japanese construction precision with European tonal warmth. In the SE132 every component is selected to enhance the harmony and depth of the sound: bass strings, hammers and the soundboard are made from high‑quality European materials and are worked using dedicated artisanal techniques.

Tuning and finishing are entrusted to the same craftsmen who service our concert grand pianos, ensuring stable intonation and an even sound across the entire keyboard. The hammer assembly has been calibrated with selected felts to achieve the typical European tonal colouring, while the soundboard, assembled with attention to the wood grain, supports a rich harmonic output.

The keyboard housing has been redesigned with larger dimensions for a more natural touch response and European‑style playing comfort. The top lid allows modulation of the sound projection and experimentation with different tonal nuances.

The SE132, the largest model in the series (height 132 cm), uses larger structures and longer strings for a deeper sound and extended sustain. It also features a sostenuto pedal function that expands the expressive possibilities when performing complex repertoire.
