Description:
This listing concerns a Yamaha U1D, a model produced between 1959 and 1965. Older examples of this series are known for their relatively soft and warm tone.

Technique and finish:
Originally, U1D models are fitted with two pedals; in our restorations we consistently add a third (moderator) pedal, visible by the rounded shapes of the top lid. The piano has been fully overhauled: cabinet sprayed in polyester high gloss, key covering renewed, soundboard revarnished and all internal components brought to like-new condition.

Maintenance and warranty:
Strings and hammer heads have been repaired or replaced where necessary. The felt work and the bearings in the action have been replaced as standard, and all brass parts have been polished. Due to the thorough overhaul, we provide a 10-year warranty on this instrument.

Extras:
The piano is equipped with a practice pedal and a slow-fall on the fallboard. We offer various silent solutions: sometimes factory systems are present, but generally we install universal silent systems so you can freely choose from our full range.
