This Yamaha U1 (type U1D) belongs to an older production series and therefore often has a slightly softer, warm tone compared to younger examples.
The U1D was originally supplied with two pedals. In all our restorations we add a third pedal (moderator) as standard; this is recognizable by the rounded shape of the top lid.
Our refurbished Yamaha uprights and grands are completely restored inside and out. The case receives a new polyester high-gloss lacquer, the key coverings are replaced and the soundboard is re-varnished. The internal action is also returned to top condition. Therefore we offer a 10-year warranty on these instruments.
Strings and hammerheads are repaired or replaced where necessary. We routinely renew all felt work and the bearings in the action. All brass parts are polished and restored to an almost new appearance. The pianos are fitted with a practice pedal and a slow-fall mechanism on the fallboard.
Silent options
The Yamaha silent piano is very popular in the Netherlands. We have several silent systems in our range and supply both instruments with the Yamaha silent system fitted at the factory and pianos in which we install a universal silent system. The advantage of the universal system is that you can freely choose from our full range and we will have the desired system installed for you.
