It can be said that the upright piano has contributed greatly to the popularisation of pianos in regular households. With enhanced responsiveness, and tone quality approaching those of some grand pianos, now everyone can enjoy full-scale piano sound at home.
The b series, like all Yamaha pianos, are instruments of extraordinary, natural beauty, combining art, craftsmanship and technology; a pleasure to play and to own.
The introduction of the Yamaha b3 to the b series range sees it approach professional standards whilst remaining true to the b series' design philosophy of value and affordability. Yamaha have been making pianos for over a century but the new b series is something of a departure for us. A hundred years of accumulated knowledge has been condensed into our most affordable piano ever. No corners have been cut. No compromises made in materials or workmanship. We simply set out to design fully-featured Yamaha piano but at a lower price. And we succeed.
The b3 out-performs pianos costing a great deal more by incorporating Yamaha's traditional values as well as benefiting from the latest production techniques. b3's powerful yet articulate characteristics are produced by a larger frame and soundboard and higher grade hammers coupled with a proven, high specification action design. The b3 is also available in a Silent Piano™ option.
