Yamaha P116 SH2 Silent piano in black high-gloss finish – used rental return, 1 year in use. The instrument presents itself in very good visual and functional condition.
Despite its compact height of 116 cm, this model delivers a surprisingly full, balanced sound. The elegant cabinet makes the P116 an attractive feature in living spaces, while it is designed for daily use.
Silent function (SILENT Piano™ SH2)
The P116 is equipped with the current SILENT Piano™ SH2 technology. When the mute is activated, the hammers no longer strike the strings, allowing you to continue playing with headphones. Highly developed grayscale sensors detect every key movement and transmit the data to the digital sound generator, thereby preserving the playing feel and the dynamics of the attack.
Sound options and tones
In Silent mode, the P116’s electronics offer several high-quality sounds, including the Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Bösendorfer Imperial. A total of 20 tones are available, including electric pianos, organ, harpsichord, choir, strings and synth pads — ideal for adapting the piano to a personal musical style.
Control unit and operation
The control unit of the Silent system is located on the left below the keyboard and is finished in black. The controls are clearly arranged and allow simple, intuitive operation.
Recording functions and USB
The P116 features an integrated recorder for direct playback of your recordings. For archiving or further processing we recommend using a USB audio recorder; performances can then be saved in WAV format and played back on a computer or other playback devices.
Bluetooth audio
Wireless playback of audio files via Bluetooth allows practicing with accompanying tracks from a smartphone or tablet — a practical addition for practicing with headphones.
