The design of the CX series echoes the essential elegance of large concert models, with clean shapes and details reduced to a minimum to encourage the union between performer and instrument. The carefully profiled legs and the notably robust pedal housing allow decisive use of the pedal without loss of stability: a solution that reflects the philosophy of “functional design”.

To ensure a dynamic response and strong projection, the rear structure has been reinforced compared with previous models: this reinforcement offers greater support to vibrations and contributes to a fuller, more resonant sound. The soundboard is assembled using the same techniques employed on the reference models of the CFX series, optimizing the contact between soundboard, ribs and bridge for improved sound transmission.

The use of a harmonically designed steel for the CX series promotes sustain and timbral richness, especially in the mid and high registers. The hammers, also assembled with felts derived from the CFX series and calibrated to the specific dimensions of each model, contribute to a broad, expressive and nuanced palette of tonal colours.

The choice of materials for the keyboard includes white Ivorite® surfaces for a touch and appearance similar to natural ivory, complemented by black keys in natural ebony, for an authentic and comfortable feel to the touch.

Aesthetically, the high-gloss black finish highlights the instrument’s restrained lines, while the internal construction solutions are aimed at providing projection, sustain and a uniform musical response — characteristics that make the CX series suitable for professional and studio settings.
