Description de l’annonce
Never rebuilt, this piano is in near-perfect original condition. It was purchased from M. Steinert & Sons, Boston, MA, USA in 1986. Since then it has been meticulously maintained by one owner, a professional concert pianist, who has kept it in carefully humidified rooms in Lexington and Arlington and had it tuned three or four times each year. It includes a quilted cover, a fall board lock and a bench.
The tuning is very stable. The soundboard and bridges are in good condition. Hammers and action parts are all in good shape. The cabinet is in near-perfect condition. There is no rust on the strings. One string was replaced about twenty years ago. It has no pet or smoke smell.
This Steinway piano offers an excellent purchase value. Today the Steinway company has stopped production of the Model L, but a comparable new piano, the Steinway Model O, in walnut, sells for well over twice this price. The smaller Model M in walnut also commands prices in the upper $80,000s.
