The case and exterior were finished in premium BASF polyester, so the piano looks and operates like a new instrument.

The restoration included careful regulation, voicing and a concert A-440 tuning. The action now uses new German Steinway parts to ensure reliable touch and consistent response. The pedal lyre incorporates a modern support system; the fallboard carries a new brass-inlaid decal. Lid prop and support bar are satin ebony while the remainder of the case is polished ebony—details completed to contemporary Steinway standards.
