The history of the Blüthner company begins in the mid-19th century with Julius Ferdinand Blüthner and a small number of employees. The present Model 170 also comes from this tradition; after extensive restoration it has reappeared in our exhibition and can be played here. Visually, the instrument impresses with its warm, reddish-brown walnut veneer with an even grain, which gives the room a harmonious note.

Technically, the grand piano has been carefully overhauled: the Aliquot system provides additional resonance through a sympathetically vibrating resonance string, giving the sound particular fullness and warmth. The proven Blüthner repetition mechanism enables a smooth playing feel and also offers advanced pianists fine expressive possibilities. The instrument has the full, romantic tonal character expected of a Blüthner.

As with all our acoustic instruments, this grand piano comes with a five-year warranty. In our modern workshop, experienced piano builders have inspected the instrument and, if necessary, repaired it. Before the sale, a thorough check was carried out by our master piano builder Thomas Kreisel; a final check before delivery is of course performed. (Metadata: built 1970, length 170 cm, 88 keys.)
