This Mason & Hamlin S‑G Symmetrigrand (serial no. 58548, 1950) received a complete restoration roughly 15 years ago. The closed‑pore mahogany satin case is exceptionally well preserved and shows minimal wear — we rate the cabinet 9.5/10. The piano’s action, hammers, strings and tuning pins were rebuilt; the hammers are nearly new and have been carefully voiced. Original keytops remain in excellent condition. The instrument produces a big, bold American‑style tone and presents no mechanical or tonal issues.
