The touch of a concert grand piano, achieved by using a larger action like that of a bigger instrument, in every Konzert grand piano—even in the smaller sizes. Only spruce that grows under specific conditions high in the mountain regions can be used to make a quality soundboard. This wood, rare and highly prized, is selected exclusively and reserved for Schimmel thanks to the Bavarian Forestry Service.
