Nieuw, Steingraeber & Söhne, C-212

New Steingraeber & Söhne C‑212, built in 2021. This chamber concert grand piano combines traditional construction with modern playability: a planed soundboard, classical construction and a balanced dynamic response provide a wide tonal palette and fine differentiation.

The C‑212 is a direct descendant of the historic Steingraeber Liszt grand, model 205 (1873), and has been developed to meet the demands of the 21st century. Its chamber-music character makes it particularly suitable for lieder evenings, chamber music and contemporary programmes; for this reason it is often found at conservatoires and in small concert halls (e.g. Hanover, Helsinki, Lucerne, Paris).
