Steinway & Sons model B‑211, year of manufacture 1991, 211 cm length.

The instrument was purchased new in 1992 and has remained in the first owner's possession since then. For many years the grand was looked after and technically optimized exclusively by Viennese piano maker Gerhard Fichtenbauer. It was used only for occasional private house concerts and has stood since delivery in the same protected spot; direct sunlight was avoided and humidity was controlled during the winter months.

The soundboard and bridges are in impeccable condition; there are no cracks. The strings are original and deliver a full, lively tone. The dampers operate cleanly and without noise. The instrument is equipped with a sostenuto pedal. Despite a long period without tuning work, the tuning has changed only minimally, which indicates a high tuning stability.

The sound of the grand is outstanding and suitable for chamber music performances as well as demanding home playing. Complete documents are included: original invoice from 1992, certificate of origin and the first delivery confirmation from Steinway Hamburg.
