Details:
Overstruck hammer grand — the hammers strike the strings from above. The instrument is largely preserved in its original condition; the soundboard is original and shows several old, small cracks. Partially restrung. The natural keys are in good condition, although one key covering is damaged. The hammer heads are in acceptable condition. The instrument is only partially playable and tunable.
Technical notes:
Range: A2–a4 (85 notes, 7 octaves). Key covering: natural. Key guidance with front pins in leather-lined slots. Original tuning crank is missing.
Case/Condition:
The case appears well cared for and largely original. Minor signs of wear correspond to the instrument's age.
Workshop service:
Repairs and necessary work can be carried out in our workshop by arrangement.
Historical note:
Theodor Stöcker is among the notable Berlin piano makers; his grand pianos with overstruck action were played in many countries of Europe and enjoyed favor with artists of their time.
