A.R.E. technology for a “mature” tone from day one
The innovative A.R.E. acoustic enhancement applied to the SX Series alters the rim wood in a controlled way, imitating the changes produced by natural aging. This treatment reduces moisture in the parts and promotes beneficial chemical alterations, achieving a warmer, rounder sound from the first use, with resonance and tonal clarity that facilitate expressive performances even in pianissimo.

Rims designed to enrich the sonic character
On the SX Series' inner and outer rims, wood is selected with the desired color and response in mind. For this design fewer plies of greater thickness were used (layers 30% thicker than in the previous S Series), which improves the material's natural resonance and adds richness, clarity and greater presence in the low and mid registers, while maintaining an overall tonal balance.

Hammer felt with greater elasticity
The hammers incorporate a felt specifically developed for the SX Series, the result of significant R&D. Its notable elasticity expands the dynamic range available to the performer, providing clear, musical articulation across the entire register. The result allows great expressive freedom without sacrificing tonal homogeneity.

Reinforced bracing for structural and sonic stability
To ensure the structure withstands the energy of an intense performance, the SX Series incorporates bracing with a top section 20% larger than that of the previous S Series. This greater stiffness reduces unwanted vibrations and stabilizes the assembly, preserving projection and the integrity of the tone even in passages of high intensity.

Soundboard conceived to vibrate with the performance
The soundboard has been worked to respond with delicacy and power to the pianist's touch: its profile and construction favor efficient transmission of sound energy, achieving balanced resonance and a rich timbral palette that accompanies the performance across its entire range.
