The Yamaha C5X combines aesthetics and function: essential lines that recall the stage presence of the CF series, with legs of clean profile and a design stripped of superfluous ornaments. The piano’s structure is engineered to promote the union between performer and instrument, aided by a robust pedal housing that allows decisive and precise use of the pedals.

Inside, the rear frame has been reinforced compared with previous models: this increase in thickness improves structural support and the instrument’s ability to transform the energy of performance into reverberation, contributing to a fuller and more stable sound even in the most intense passages.

The C5X soundboard benefits from the same gluing and assembly techniques used in the CFX models, with careful assembly that promotes more effective projection and a dynamic response sensitive to the performer’s nuances. The new steel strings used emphasize timbral richness, offering sustain and harmonic complexity especially in the middle and upper registers.

The action features white Ivorite® keys for a feel similar to natural ivory and black ebony keys; the 88-key keyboard responds with great precision to the touch. The hammers, derived from the CFX series and made with high-quality felts calibrated for each individual instrument in the CX series, ensure an expressive and nuanced tonal palette.

The C5X is available in the Nero finish and measures 200 cm in length, a characteristic that places it in the category of medium‑to‑large grand pianos—ideal for concert halls, studios and spaces where power and timbral refinement are sought.
