Nieuw, Schimmel, F 121 Tradition

This medium-sized piano combines compact dimensions with a balanced, versatile tonal character and is one of the sizes most appreciated by pianists. The characteristic Schimmel design with its continuous consoles also gives the instrument an elegant appearance.

The hammer heads are made of highly elastic Merino-walk felt, processed in Germany using a traditional fulling (felting) method. For the hammer cores, hard woods are used in combination with tension-regulating under-felts.

The interaction of these materials provides a wide palette of tonal colors across all dynamic levels and results in long-sustaining tones thanks to low damping and a short contact time between the felt and the string.
