Silent function and sonic variety

The piano is equipped with the modern SILENT-Piano™ SC2. As soon as the Silent function is activated, the hammers no longer hit the strings; instead, advanced grayscale key sensors detect every key movement and transmit the signals to the digital sound generator. This allows you to play quietly without sacrificing dynamics and musical expression.

Preinstalled sounds

The SC2 module provides ten preprogrammed timbres, including three acoustic piano sounds as well as electric pianos, organs and harpsichord. Premium samples include the Yamaha CFX concert grand and the sonorous Bösendorfer Imperial, both sampled individually for all 88 keys.

Touch and technology

Under each key is a Yamaha grayscale sensor that reliably captures touch velocity and nuances. The result is a natural playing feel — even in Silent mode the expression of your playing is preserved.
