The SE series combines precise workmanship with a European sound ideal. In the development of this flagship model, the experience of European piano technicians was incorporated, as well as specially selected materials: European bass strings, hammers and soundboard wood. The result is an instrument designed for particularly demanding listening expectations.

On the SE 122 the middle pedal produces a very fine, soft sound: a thin felt is inserted between the strings and the hammers, which makes the tone more muted and gentler.
