This Yamaha U3 SH Silent piano in polished black combines the tonal power of a large soundboard with modern Silent technology. With its height of 131 cm, the instrument achieves impressive projection and dynamic presence. The installed SH2 Silent system is activated via the middle pedal: a rail then prevents direct hammer contact with the strings, while advanced grayscale sensors detect every key movement. The signals thus obtained feed the digital sound generator. In Silent mode, a total of 20 high-quality voices are available, including the Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Bösendorfer Imperial. All 88 keys are sampled individually; additional sounds include electric pianos, organs, strings, harpsichord, chorus and synth pad.

The control unit facilitates extra functions such as metronome and recorder. For connection to external devices there is Bluetooth as well as USB and MIDI ports.
