In Silent mode, the action and system prevent the hammers from striking the strings; instead, advanced contactless sensors detect the key movements and transmit them to the sound synthesizer.
This lets you continue to play as usual and, via headphones, enjoy the sound of a concert grand.
Additionally, numerous digital options are available: metronome, authentic piano and instrument sounds, effects, recorder and more.
In acoustic mode the YUS5 reveals its full tonal richness, offers expressive dynamics and a very natural touch — supported by Yamaha’s Ivorite keyboard, which provides a grand-like playing feel.
