The characteristic touch of a concert grand is recreated by incorporating a larger-sized action, similar to that of larger instruments, even in the shorter Konzert models. This configuration improves the response to the key press, offering greater dynamic consistency and precision in the action.

The soundboard is made from spruce sourced only from specific mountainous areas; it is a rare and highly valued wood that Schimmel obtains exclusively thanks to the management of the Bavarian Forest Service. This selected material contributes to a balanced tone, good projection and timbral richness.
