Opis
RARE BLUETHNER HUPFELD-PLAYER (1916) - Premiere quality manufacturer of pianos with added player capability
The piano was built in Leipzig and was brought to the US by its owner for almost the last 30 years. It contains a 1913 Reproducer that accepts player roles of the following types: Welty, Ampico, and DualArt because of the rare dual feature of the roll reader. When the player mechanisms are put away, this piano plays with the world-class Bluethner piano's underlying quality. Playing this piano brought joy to its owner even in the final days of her life. Her children are not able to have this piano, so this is to your advantage. The piano will need a tune up (as always is needed after a move) and basic work. The player mechanism requires a little more work, which a local craftsman has said is very doable. Cosmetically, the piano is in very good shape even without considering that it is an antique, although there are differences in the finish on the ends where there had been a cabinet for the rolls. Oh, and we are including a collection of rolls for this piano, which we estimate to be about 150 rolls.
