The Ragazza 122 is part of Sauter’s Classic-Line, designed as an upright piano that incorporates solutions from grand pianos to improve projection and expressiveness.

Finish and construction
Finish: satin walnut (Walnut Medium Satin), a semi-matte varnish that reduces gloss compared with high-gloss lacquers. The top lid adopts the “grand-lid” format, allowing it to open like on a grand piano to enhance sound projection. The frame is a single-piece casting, providing rigidity and stability.
Action and sound components
Action: double repetition mechanism developed by Sauter (double repetition action), intended to achieve a faster response and a more sensitive touch, similar to that of a grand piano.
Soundboard: selected alpine spruce. The soundboard in this series can be up to 25% larger than that of entry-level models, which translates to greater body and resonance, especially in the low register. It features SAUTER’s characteristic spherical concavity (spherical concavity®) to improve clarity, volume and sound radiation.
Strings/scale: finer mensur in the 122 series, designed to gently balance treble and bass.
