Nowy, Steingraeber & Söhne, 130 T

Professional version of the Steingraeber 130 T, executed as a PS-repetition (Professional Studio) with an optimized, faster acceleration in the bass register. This model combines ease of playing with a carefully engineered action for demanding musicians.

The instrument is finished in classic black and has 88 keys. The cabinet height is 130 cm, which gives the piano sound a rich and full character — often chosen as an alternative to smaller grand pianos.

Steingraeber places great importance on wood quality. All resonance wood is stored at a constant and controlled relative humidity (40% RH). For soundboards only slowly grown ‘Bergfichte’ (mountain spruce) is used, with tightly spaced growth rings and a minimum growth period of 25 years. The soundboard functions not only as a sound amplifier but as the source of the tone; therefore the resonance properties of the wood must match the intended register of the instrument.
