This Yamaha U1D model belongs to the series produced from 1959 to 1965. Older U1s often have a slightly softer and warmer tone than later examples. The U1D was originally supplied with two pedals; during our restorations a third (moderator) pedal is added as standard, recognizable by the curves on the top lid. The instrument is fully refurbished: the action and interior have been restored, the case has been repainted with polyester high-gloss lacquer and the key coverings have been replaced. The soundboard has a new coat of lacquer and the interior is again in like-new condition. Thanks to this thorough restoration we provide a 10-year warranty on the instrument.
