Description
This is a Yamaha U1 from the series produced between 1965 and 1970; the model is the successor to the U1D. The instrument has three pedals and shares much in construction and appearance with contemporary U1 models.

Refurbishment & finish
Both the interior and exterior have been fully refurbished. The case is finished with polyester high-gloss lacquer, the key covering has been renewed and the soundboard has received a new coat of lacquer. After restoration the instrument is internally in near-new condition; therefore we offer a 10-year warranty on this piano.

Action, strings and details
Strings and hammer heads have been repaired or — where necessary — replaced. As standard we renew all felt parts and jack felts in the action. Brass elements have been polished and now look like new. The piano is fitted with a practice pedal and a slow-fall mechanism on the fallboard.

Silent options
We provide several silent solutions: occasionally we encounter original Yamaha-installed silent systems, but generally we install a universal silent system. This gives you the freedom to first select an instrument of your choice and then have the desired silent system installed.
