This is a Yamaha U1 model from the 1965–1970 production period, the successor to the U1D. The instrument is equipped with three pedals and corresponds in construction and appearance to contemporary Yamaha U1 models.

We deliver this U1E as a fully refurbished example. Both the internal mechanism and the exterior have been thoroughly serviced: the wooden cabinet has been finished in high-gloss polyester lacquer, the key covering has been replaced and the soundboard has received a new coat of lacquer. Internally the instrument has also been restored to like-new condition. For this reason we grant a 10-year warranty on this refurbished piano.

Strings and hammer heads have been repaired or replaced where necessary. As standard we replace all feltwork and the hinge/bearing parts in the action. All brass parts have been polished and look like new again. The piano is equipped with a practice pedal and a slow-fall mechanism on the fallboard.

Regarding silent systems: we have several silent solutions in our range. We regularly offer Yamaha instruments with an original, factory-installed Yamaha silent system. In most cases, however, we install a universal silent system; this gives you the freedom to choose a piano from our complete range and to have a suitable silent system installed later.
