This is a Yamaha U1 (production period 1965–1970), the successor to the U1D model. The instrument has three pedals and meets, in both construction and appearance, the specifications found on contemporary U1 models.

Our team has fully refurbished this instrument: both the mechanical parts and the chassis and cabinet have been restored. The cabinet received a polyester high-gloss finish, the keytops have been replaced and the soundboard has been refinished. The interior has also been brought to technical like-new condition, which is why we offer a 10-year warranty on this instrument.

Strings and hammerheads have been repaired or replaced where necessary. We routinely renew all felts and the hinges in the action; all brass parts have been polished so they look like new again. The instrument is equipped with a practice pedal and a slow-fall mechanism on the fallboard.

About silent systems: we supply several types of silent solutions and regularly have Yamaha pianos with the original, factory-installed Yamaha Silent system. Most of the time, however, we install a universal silent system, because that gives you the freedom to choose a piano from our full range and then have the silent system installed to your preference.
