This fully refurbished Yamaha U3D from 1963 is finished in a striking purple high-gloss lacquer, inspired by the iconic Yamaha grand. The instrument combines the characteristic Yamaha tone with a thorough restoration, bringing it back to top condition both visually and technically.

What was carried out during the refurbishment:

Exterior: The cabinet was repainted with high-quality polyester lacquer in purple high-gloss, for a durable and luxurious appearance.

Interior: The soundboard received a new coat of lacquer to optimise resonance and sound quality.

Keys: The key coverings have been completely renewed, providing a fresh and comfortable playing feel.

Action: All felt parts and bushings in the action were replaced, resulting in a smooth and precise touch.

Strings and hammers: Where necessary, strings and hammer heads were repaired or replaced to ensure a balanced and clear tone.

Brass parts: All brass parts were polished to near-new condition, so the instrument looks well cared for both inside and out.

Additional features: This example is equipped with a practice pedal and a slow-fall fallboard for extra playing comfort and safety.
