Superb Erard quarter grand, built in 1922 (No. 109821), restored in 2015 and presented in overall excellent condition.
The rosewood marquetry is perfectly waxed and maintained.
The soundboard is in good condition; the sommier is veneered in beech.
The keys retain a period patina, slightly yellowed.
The frame is brass, fixed with screws (not cast), and the strings are arranged in parallel.
The instrument is tuned and, after a period of acclimatization, holds its tuning well.
Two pedals: soft and sustain.
Beautiful, bright tone, suitable for both classical and contemporary repertoire.
