Acoustic construction, frame and tuningblock
Descripción
This is a beautiful Erard Parallélle right‑strung grand piano. A unique opportunity to acquire an excellently restored example! The tone is authentic, pure and wonderfully true.
The Erard grand was built in 1923 in France, Paris. At that time Paris had three major piano makers: Gaveau, Pleyel and Erard. In the 1950s and 1960s Erard merged with Gaveau and Pleyel.
The Erard grand comes from a private collection of an individual from the Paris area. The grand was imported to the Netherlands a few years ago. On behalf of the previous owners, the grand was professionally restored in the Netherlands.
The grand is solidly built. The beam construction is typically Erard, robust and strong. This has likely contributed to the exceptionally good condition of the acoustic construction. The soundboard, for example — the soul of the piano — is still original and has come through the years unscathed.
The restoration was carried out using only the best materials:
New high‑quality bass strings, tuning pins and Stéphen Paulello steel strings
Strong tuning block with new tuning‑stable pins
Top bridges renewed and fitted with new bridge pins
Original upper hammers have been refelted by Desfougéres in France
New Erard castors
Extremely beautiful keyboard veneered with ivory.
The casework is finely veneered in noble rosewood. Inside, with beautiful bird’s‑eye maple.
The Erard, often called the Steinway of the 19th century. And you can hear it! The grand is also suitable for professional use.
We warmly invite you to try this beautiful Erard grand in our workshop.
